Community Service

The following guidelines aim to set out the considerations Sevenoaks Round Table apply when requests for financial support are received. We hope we can fairly deal with all requests. These guidelines are not stringent Rules, but rather are the principles underlying our tables’ philosophy.

The three primary guidelines are:

1. 1.What Causes We Support? We support causes that give benefit to the community, such as care for the elderly, children, disabled or underprivileged. The more people that benefit from the project the more likely we are to support the project and the greater the amount we are likely to donate.
   

2. 2.Locality of Recipient/Requestor. We are a local charity with the aim to help people from Sevenoaks and surrounding villages. Thus, the more local to Sevenoaks the more likely we are to support the project and the greater the amount we are likely to donate.
   

3. 3.Nature of Request. We prefer to donate towards a capital project were there is a tangible result (e.g. a piece of equipment) rather than a long term funding requirement (such as staffing costs).
   
   

Application Process:

Please download our application form, complete it and return it electronically to our Community Service Officer (communityservice@sevenoaksroundtable.co.uk). Who will contact you and then ask you to send a hard copy to an address specified. The Community Service Officer is available to answer any questions you may have and to assist in completing the application. Deadline for applications are 4 weeks prior to the Business Meetings listed on our Home page. All applications will be reviewed and voted by members at the Business Meeting.
