Join Us

Ask 10 members of Round Table why they joined and you will get 10 different answers. It is initially the social side, getting out of the house to do something different once a fortnight. Then the REAL attraction of Round Table goes beyond this, because once you are involved, there is a mixture of respect, banter and belonging which does not exist elsewhere. All of this, of course, whilst raising money for charities in your local area!

On behalf of the Sevenoaks Round Table, we’re finally delighted to officially announce that our annual Charity Fireworks Event will be going ahead this year on Saturday 6th November 2021! Revised start times are in place for this year with fun events and food on the High Street from 5pm, Torchlit parade from 6pm and the fireworks event located at Sevenoaks School fields from around 6:45pm. Advance tickets are now on sale on our website www.sevenoaksroundtable.co.uk/tickets and will also soon be available at The Stag Theatre Box Office, Lorimers and select Sevenoaks schools. Further information and updates will be made available on our websites shortly. Don’t forget, all profits from the event go to supporting local worthy causes and charities! We’re also delighted to be partnering with the Sevenoaks Samaritans this year and we are also being generously sponsored by @warnerslaw Looking forward to seeing you there at our best ever event!

Tried out a great new walking route last night, 8 of us plus one canine friend, starting from The Stag Theatre and going on a loop via Kippington, about 6.4km, a bit over an hour, not too difficult but enough to break a decent sweat! Sevenoaks Round Table Firework 2020 Update

Sevenoaks Round Table have been watching the impact of Covid 19 closely to establish whether we feel our annual Charity Fireworks Event can take place this year.

After much debate, we are saddened to have to confirm that the Charity Fireworks Event will not take place this year, for the first time in our long history.

We have not taken this decision lightly. Our overriding concern is the health and safety of all who support and attend our event, particularly given further Government restrictions now in force and the recent cancellation of the London New Year’s Eve Fireworks Event.

We also feel it would be wrong to commit funds we have raised through charitable activities on an event which is likely to need to be cancelled, potentially resulting in wasting the funds which have been generously donated.

Our hope is that we can plan for our best show ever in 2021 and we will be working on this between now and this time next year. We hope to see as many people as possible to, hopefully, celebrate the end of a very difficult period in history assuming Covid 19 is under control by this time.

We are also still planning on continuing our Santa Sleigh outings before Christmas - assuming the restrictions at the time will allow this and look forward to seeing you then.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers for all the help and support again this year, resulting in another amazing Sevenoaks Round Table Charity Fireworks Event. Despite the weather, which inevitably impacted on the number of spectators, the Event was a huge success and the skies cleared just in time for the big show. Ticket sales were down from previous years but we still managed to raise enough to be able to donate to worthy causes in the local area.
